Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives District 2
Susan has been active in several peace organizations including Strength Through Peace, Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice, Colorado Citizens For Peace, The World Can’t Wait, Occupy Boulder, Colorado 911 Visibility, Move to Amend, and Soda Head transitional group. She has campaigned tirelessly for the release of innocent victims held without recourse in concentration camps throughout the world, especially Shaker Aamer who was shown to be innocent and cleared for release from Guantanamo in 2007, but is still being held illegally.
Susan is a professional schoolteacher, not a professional politician. She believes the government should be run by people who truly represent the needs and wishes of those who elect them and not the profiteering corporations who purchase elections by pouring millions of dollars into lobbying efforts and super PACs. By not accepting corporate contributions, the Green Party is free to serve the needs of the people.
